About JUPEB Programme
JUPEB (Joint University Preliminary Examination Board) is an educational program established by University of Lagos. JUPEB is a reputable nine-month Advanced level program endorsed by the University of Lagos, and it coordinates with various universities and affiliate centers nationwide.
The program offers an opportunity for candidates who are unable to secure admission to regular degree programs in Nigerian universities, allowing them to enrol with their O'level results or even while awaiting results. JUPEB (Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board) is the National Examination body responsible for conducting admissions exams for higher institutions, both in Nigeria and abroad, and it endorses JUPEB.
With over 20,000 applicants participating yearly, more than 70% of them successfully secure admission to their preferred institutions and courses at the 200 level. JUPEB certificate is recognized by over 70% of Nigerian federal, state, and private universities, holding equivalence to other certificates like Advance Level GCE, HSC, OND, NCE, and Diploma certificates. Successful candidates use their JUPEB certificate to gain Direct Entry admission into 200 level at Nigerian tertiary institutions.

Admission Requirements
(a) five O/L credit passes as contain in jamb brochure.
Awaiting result can also apply but O/L result must be available before University admission.
(b) #25,000 as application fee.
(c) O’Level Result (Max of 2 sittings)
(d) Six (6) Passport Photographs
(e) Printed copy of applicant’s admission letter
Note that; No JAMB/PUTME score is needed for Admission.

Tuition Fees
The following payment covers the JUPEB acceptance fee and school fees.
1. Kwara state, Ilorin: #270,000
2.Abuja: #280,000
3. Lagos State; Ikeja , Ikorodu and Ijaiye #280,000 – 300,000
4. Oyo State: Ibadan #280,000
5. Rivers state: Port Harcourt (Peter Odili Road and Rumukoro) #280,000
6. Abia state (Aba) #350,000.
7. Akwa Ibom State. #250,000
8. Enugu State; #280,000

Breakdown of IJMB School Fees payment on installments
Tuition fees: Students without the complete stipulated fees above can resume with a minimum payment of 160,000.
Tuition: #130,000
Acceptance fee: 30,000.
Total; #160,000.
A student should have paid at least #160,00 on or before resumption. The payment covers tuition and acceptance fee.
The outstanding payment is expected to be completed within four (4) months after resumption.

The Federal Government has authorised the JUPEB program as a platform for gaining admission to higher education institutions in the nation and abroad through direct entrance admission
NUC Approval;
The Nigeria University Commission (NUC), the country’s primary administrative authority in charge of universities, recognises and authorises the JUPEB curriculum, which is generally accepted by 80 percent of the country’s institutions.

The examination date for IJMB programme is June/July yearly. Actual date and examination timetable will be communicated by centre coordinator as soon as the date is released by the board
